LAS CRUCES - It was a primer of sorts Monday for the Las Cruces City Council.

Discussion on how the process works in determining ordinances, resolutions, development issues, and council-initiated ideas and programs were conducted during a work session at City Hall. The discussion was led by several city staff members, including City Clerk Esther Martinez, interim City Attorney Harry "Pete" Connelly, Community Development Director David Weir and City Manager Robert Garza.

The talks were conducted to give council members, especially newer members, a better understanding of procedures and how to correctly follow them.
