LAS CRUCES - The Knights of Columbus will present a $29,500 check today to Turning Point of Las Cruces, a pro-life, nonprofit, non-denominational ministry that offers free and confidential pregnancy testing, STD testing, peer counseling, male mentoring, parenting education and now offers limited obstetrical ultrasounds.

The money was raised by the Knights throughout the state, with matching funds coming from the national Knights of Columbus Ultrasound Initiative. The ultrasound will be dedicated and blessed by Bishop Ricardo Ramirez 2 p.m. today at the Turning Point office, 2906 Hillrise Drive.

Turning Point opened in August 2010 and provides services to the Las Cruces community, including the university population.
