LAS CRUCES - City and county law enforcement will conduct at least two sobriety checkpoints between Friday and the end of the month.

The Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department will conduct saturation patrols and checkpoints Friday at various points and times throughout the county. The Las Cruces Police Department has also scheduled at least one sobriety checkpoint between Friday and Jan. 30, in addition to saturation and patrols targeting underage drinkers and disruptive parties.

Drivers should keep in mind that Doña Ana County has an ordinance in place allowing for the seizure of vehicles from people with prior DWIs or who are driving on suspended or revoked licenses.
