ALBUQUERQUE - The New Mexico Lottery will feature the state's most fetching dogs on its upcoming "Lucky Dog" Scratcher game.

To find these top dogs, the lottery is running a player contest. Through Jan. 23, owners can post their pets' photos to www.nmlottery.com where players can vote for their favorite pooch. Voting starts Jan. 24 and ends Feb. 4. From the 25 top vote-getters, the lottery will choose the winning furry faces to picture on the game's six tickets.

Since its launch in 1996, the New Mexico Lottery has raised $462 million for education.
