LAS CRUCES - Thurmond Road, from Sierra de Luna Place to Sonoma Ranch Boulevard, will be closed at 7 a.m. Wednesday, and the closure will be in effect for about seven days.

Gallardo Construction will be installing utility infrastructure on Thurmond Road. Detours will be in effect for the duration of the work. Motorists who want to avoid possible delays should seek an alternative route. Access to subdivisions will be maintained during construction.
