LAS CRUCES - The popular PBS television program "Antiques Roadshow" will come to El Paso for the first time later this year. The city is one of six to make the show's 2011 production tour destinations.

"Antiques Roadshow" features antiques appraisers traveling to various cities across to country and offering their advice. The show will be in El Paso on June 18. Admission to the event is free, but tickets are required and must be obtained in advance. Ticket applications and complete ticketing rules are available at pbs.org/antiques or by calling (888) 762-3749.

Ticket applications must be received by April 18. Tickets will be awarded by random drawing.

Other cities on the summer tour include Eugene, Ore. (June 4), Minneapolis (July 9), Tulsa, Okla. (July 23), Atlanta (Aug. 6) and Pittsburgh, Pa. (Aug. 13). Programs taped in those locations, as well as El Paso, will make up the 16th season of "Roadshow," airing on PBS in 2012.

In addition, The "Roadshow" Furniture Roundup is looking for large pieces of furniture within 50 miles of each tour destination. Complete furniture submission rules are available online or by dialing the toll-free information line.
