Angie Rodriguez registers herself on the national bone marrow program Friday
at La Casa Domestic Violence Services office before she swabbed her cheeks.
The Las Cruces resident is hoping her marrow type matches that of her former boss, La Casa Executive Director Gina Orona-Ruiz, who is diagnosed with leukemia, a cancer of the bone marrow. The donor registry drive had about 15 people sign up in the first two hours of the seven-hour campaign. Anyone between the ages of 18-60 can join online by visiting: http://join.bethematch.org/give.
