LAS CRUCES - A head-on collision believed to have been caused by a drunken driver closed N.M. 404 for nearly two hours Thursday, according to New Mexico State Police.
The southern Doña Ana County roadway was closed in both directions after the crash, near mile marker 4, between 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.
Patients from both the SUV and the compact car involved in the crash were airlifted to University Medical Center in El Paso.
No further information was available on the crash Friday afternoon.
