LAS CRUCES - Las Cruces Bishop Ricardo Ramirez was released from the hospital Saturday, and is recuperating at home, the diocese announced Monday.

Ramirez, 74, was hospitalized last week with pneumonia. Ramirez "wishes to thank the dedicated health-care employees who treated him," according to a press release from the diocese, and is also grateful for the prayers and get-well messages he has received.
