LAS CRUCES - A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect or suspects who, in the past few days, have burglarized several homes under construction, the Las Cruces Police Department announced Wed-nesday.

Since Monday, 12 homes under construction in a subdivision off Northrise Drive have been broken into and burglarized, according to LCPD.

Copper wiring was stolen from nine homes under construction on the 4400 block of Levante Drive early Monday morning. Early Wednesday morning, three more homes under construction were burglarized. Police believe that all of the burglaries were committed between the hours of 3 and 7 a.m.

Anyone with any information on the identity of the suspect, or suspects, is asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to LCTIPS (528477).
