LAS CRUCES - A public open house to review the city's revised draft of the Sustainability Action Plan will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the lobby of City Hall, 700 N. Main St.

Among the topics addressed in the plan are clean energy, water conservation, recycling and solid waste, and pollution prevention.

The plan will be presented to City Council for possible adoption in February. The public is invited to learn about the plan and share thoughts prior to council consideration. People attending the open house can arrive at any time it's scheduled and stay as long as they like.

A copy of the draft plan can be downloaded at: www.las-cruces.org/council/sustainability.asp. Hard copies will be available in the lobby of City Hall prior to the event.

Anyone who wants to comment on the plan but cannot attend the open house can send written comments, by e-mail, to: tschuster@las-cruces.org.
