LAS CRUCES - The search for New Mexico State University's senior vice president for administration and finance has concluded without selecting a candidate. A new search will be initiated during the next fiscal year.
"While we had the opportunity to speak with many well-qualified and attractive candidates, in the end it was felt that an expanded search is warranted to find just the right person for this challenging role," said Jay Jordan, who chaired the search committee.
In the meantime, Angela Throneberry will continue to serve as interim senior vice president.
Throneberry has served as associate vice president for administration and finance since 2008. Since joining NMSU in 1991, she has held a series of positions, including assistant vice president for auxiliary services and director of financial operations. She is an NMSU graduate and a Certified Public Accountant.
NMSU's Administration and Finance division encompasses the areas of budget, finance, human resources, auxiliary services, facilities and services, real estate and information and communication technology.
