Las Cruces firefighter Michael Cox shows 4-year-old firefighter-in-the-making Noah Contreras, of Las Cruces, how to turn on the sirens and emergency lights on a new fire engine Tuesday outside of City Hall. It was one of two new fire engines on display that were purchased to replace 10-year-old fire engines that have more than 120,000 miles logged, according to a news release. "I wanted to become a police (officer) until I saw these," the boy said.
