LAS CRUCES -Las Cruces is seeking comments from residents on how to spend the housing and community development funds it will receive during the next five years from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Activities must generally benefit low- and moderate-income residents. The city is starting a process, called the consolidated plan, which will help determine how these federal funds will be spent.

Three public input meetings will be conducted, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Sunrise Elementary School, 5300 Holman Road; 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Central Elementary School, 150 N. Alameda Boulevard; and from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Hermosa Heights Elementary School, 1655 E. Amador Ave.
