Blecha was elected vice president, McBreyer was elected treasurer and Norem was elected secretary. The open-membership organization meets monthly at various locations throughout the county and will meet next on March 5 at a location to be determined. The local organization is affiliated with the Doña Ana County Democratic Party and the National Federation of Democratic Women, which supports Democratic candidates nationally. Baker also announced Saturday her candidacy for treasurer of the National Federation of Democratic Women, which will meet and elect officers during its national conference May 18-22 in Washington, D.C.
