LAS CRUCES - An armed California fugitive was nabbed Thursday night at Buffalo Wild Wings, according to the Las Cruces Police Department.
Zachariah I. Ramirez, 20, of Anaheim, Calif., is charged with being a fugitive from justice, carrying a deadly weapon in a liquor establishment, possession of a firearm by a felon and illegal possession of a deadly weapon.
Ramirez was sentenced as an adult for a murder he was involved in as a juvenile in 2005 in Santa Ana, Calif. He was on parole when found Thursday.
Las Cruces police received information that he might have been in town, possibly at the liquor establishment at 2750 Mall Dr. Officers located Ramirez in the bar and escorted him outside, where he told officers about the loaded .38-caliber handgun concealed in his waistband.
Ramirez was transported to the Do-a Ana County Detention Center and is being held without bond pending extradition to California.
