LAS CRUCES - A Las Cruces mother is desperately hoping for the safe return of her teenage daughter, who was last seen the morning of Feb. 8.

Adria Salazar, 16, an O ate High School junior, is described as being very petite, 5-feet tall and weighing 100 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair, said her mother, Angela Morales.

"We are afraid she is in danger since her phone has been disconnected but we have not turned off her services," Morales said Thursday.

Salazar's disappearance was reported Feb. 10, according to Las Cruces Police Department spokesman Dan Trujillo, who urged parents and guardians to report runaways as soon as possible.
