The following indictments were returned Thursday by a Do a Ana County grand jury. An indictment is only an accusation. All criminal defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt:

• Jonathan Balderrama, 23, 1105 Alta Vista, Chaparral, N.M., charged with robbery or unlawful taking of a vehicle and threatening a witness on Jan. 8. Balderrama allegedly took a man's car by threatening him that he had a gun, then told him he would kill him if he went to the police. Balderrama has another felony case pending in El Paso and faces mandatory time as a habitual offender, according to court documents.

• Gianina Barraza, 21, 1180 La Fonda #2, Las Cruces, charged with four counts of forgery (more than $2,500) between Oct. 1 and 15, 2010.

• Jose A. Bello, 27, 1217 Akers or 1105 Sharon Circle, Las Cruces, charged with forging a signature and concealing his identity on June 20, 2010. Bello was allegedly free on a conditional release when he was stopped for traffic violations and gave the officer his brother's name, according to court documents.

• Marc Daniel Carradine, 29, 3190 Highway 80, Roadforks, N.M., charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle, drunken driving and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage on Jan. 22. He has three prior convictions for theft in California and is facing mandatory time as a habitual offender, according to court documents.

Albuquerque, charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor on Sept. 25, 2010. Clark allegedly brought his 15-year-old female cousin into Hobby Lobby and threatened to beat her up if she didn't shoplift several T-shirts, according to court documents. Clark has another felony case pending in Bernalillo County, where he is charged with two counts of forging labels or prescriptions.

• Stan Cox, 24, 1101 E. Boutz, Apt. 33, Las Cruces, and Marina Silva, 29, 1340 Branding Iron Circle, Las Cruces, both charged with four counts of check forgery and conspiracy on Dec. 31, 2010.

• Steven Mora Davis, 26, 3398 Applecross Place, Las Cruces, charged with embezzlement (more than $2,500) on Nov. 2, 2010. Davis allegedly borrowed the victim's vehicle, saying he needed to visit his ill mother, and hasn't returned it, giving the victim various stories about what happened to it, according to court documents. Davis is pending felony cases in two other districts for similar charges.

• Justin Eaton, 21, 2886 Lake Valley or 925 Lees Drive or 4695 Del Rose Court, Las Cruces, charged with felony cocaine possession on Dec. 16, 2010.

• Delilah Esparza, 25, 1413 Luna Drive, Las Cruces, charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (a butterfly knife) on Nov. 27, 2010. The victim received a cut on his hand from the knife, according to court documents.

• Victor Ochoa Flores, 21, 8360 Diamond Circle, Las Cruces, charged with armed robbery, larceny (more than $3,000) and tampering with evidence on Dec. 19, 2010.

• Jose Luis Garcia, 20, 340 E. Las Cruces Avenue or 202 W. Madrid or 1416 E. Lucero, Las Cruces, charged with aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, driver's license not in possession, no proof of insurance, failure to display registration and leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage on Jan. 11.

• Mario Carlos Garcia, 33, 480 Marron Court, Las Cruces, charged with unlawful taking of a vehicle, drunken driving (six previous convictions), two counts of resisting arrest, reckless driving, driving with a suspended license, speeding and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle on Jan. 8.

• Justin Patrick Griffin, 22, 4792 Sunflower, Las Cruces, charged with receiving stolen property (a dirt bike) on Dec. 20, 2010. Griffin has two prior felony convictions and is facing mandatory time as a habitual offender, according to court documents.

• Victor Pimentel Heredia, 22, Poblado 18 de Marzo, Buena Vista, Mexico, charged with cocaine possession (16.7 grams) on Jan. 21. Heredia was being held by Immigration and Customs Enforcement for allegedly being in the country illegally.

• Danny Walton "Tattoo" House, 43, 2217 S. Lime Street, Deming, N.M., charged with battery on a health-care worker (by biting) on Jan. 28.

• Anthony Carl Larson, 23, 2011 Clyde Tombaugh Ave., charged with disposing of a stolen firearm on June 1, 2010. He allegedly stole a firearm from his brother and then stole it, according to court documents.

• Christella Marie Lowry, 6985 Nevarez Court, Las Cruces, charged with two counts of battery on a health-care worker on Jan. 12. She allegedly struck one worker in the chest and the other in the face and head as well as digging her nails into one victim's arm, according to court documents.

• Johnny Paul Lytle, 45, 445 Oasis, Chaparral, N.M., charged with aggravated battery against a household member with a deadly weapon (a bat) and two counts of battery against a household member on Jan. 19.

• Irving Ramirez Madrid, 28, 1092 Fran Drive, Las Cruces, charged with felony methamphetamine possession, tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license and failing to signal in traffic on Dec. 24, 2010.

• Alejandro Melendez, 18, 3200 Del Rey Blvd., Apt. 120, Las Cruces, charged with distribution of marijuana (108 grams) and possession of drug paraphernalia on Dec. 18, 2010.

• Carlos Monasterio, 27, 637 Weisner or 5222 Nike Ave., Las Cruces, charged with larceny (more than $500 worth of pecans), conspiracy, driving with a suspended license and careless driving on Jan. 16.

• Edgar Nava, 31, 999 Telshor, Apt. 203, Las Cruces, charged with breaking and entering and battery on Jan. 28. Nava allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend's residence and attacked her new boyfriend, according to court documents.

• Jacob Jay Nolen, 20, 845 Watson Lane #25, charged with residential burglary, conspiracy, larceny (more than $500) and tampering with evidence on Jan. 2. Nolen is pending trial for another charge of residential burglary and theft, according to court documents.

• Jerry Don Perea, 44, 1135 Willow St., Las Cruces, charged with credit card theft and fraudulent use of an illegally obtained credit card (more than $500) on Oct. 17, 2010. He has six prior convictions involving theft or burglary, according to court documents.

• Louie Robledo, 26, 1308 E. Griggs, Las Cruces, charged with aggravated battery against a household member causing great bodily harm, false imprisonment and battery against a household member on Dec. 31, 2010. He allegedly battered and strangled and held his girlfriend against her will during an argument, according to court documents.

• Erica Stephanie Salazar, 25, 2310 Lester Drive, charged with negligent child abuse from Aug. 5 and Dec. 11, 2010. Salazar, who is on probation for a previous child abuse conviction, and her 11-month-old son both tested positive for cocaine, according to court documents.

• Daniel Clemente Trujillo, 22, 6985 Nevarez Court, Las Cruces, charged with battery on an officer on Jan. 27. Trujillo, who is pending trial on violent charges in Bernalillo County, allegedly spit on an LCPD officer while being booked on a warrant, according to court documents.
