LAS CRUCES - St. Baldrick's Foundation is gearing up for its fourth annual head-shaving in Las Cruces.

The chrome-dome volunteers will line up March 12 to get their locks lopped off, all in the name of raising money for childhood cancer research.

In past years, city leaders, elected officials and volunteers have raised more than $64,000 and shaved more than 300 heads - men, women and children alike.

This year's event will include the El Paso Rhino's Hockey team, who will be shaving their heads after a home game on Feb. 25, with first swipes going to the highest bidder. The team will then present the money they raised as part of the event.
