In image 1, Two heeler puppies wait Thursday to be adopted at the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley in Las Cruces. The center will have its first-ever Valentine adoption event Saturday and Sunday to find loving homes for 126 puppies now available. Adoption fees for the event will be $14, which includes the first set of vaccinations, license, spay and neuter and a microchip ID.
