The Doña Ana Sheriff's Office responded to the following incidents early Thursday:
• A deputy responded to the 100 block of Commerciantes at 12:52 a.m. on a welfare check after a 4-year-old child was found knocking on the door of an apartment looking for his older brother, who was spending the night with a friend in the same complex. The 4-year-old was being looked after by another older brother who hadn't realized the child unlocked the door and left. The father came home from work to look after the child.
• James Rodriguez was arrested at 1 a.m. near Hannah Court and N.M. 478 after a traffic stop on a charge of driving with a revoked driver's license. His vehicle was seized pursuant to county ordinance.
• Auto burglary and attempted auto theft was reported at 2:20 a.m. on the 4400 block of San Ysidro. The suspect allegedly entered a parked tractor-trailer, started it and tried to drive off in it, but the vehicle stalled. The suspect then allegedly broke into another vehicle and a utility shed.
• Lorenzo Rico was cited at 2:30 a.m. after a traffic stop near Shore Oaks Street and O'Hara Road in Anthony, N.M., on a charge of driving with a suspended license and obstructing an officer. The vehicle was impounded.
The Do-a Ana Sheriff's Office responded to the following incidents Wednesday:
• Auto burglary and larceny were reported at 8:55 a.m. on Horseshoe Circle. The victim reported items were taken from a vehicle and a
• A missing person was reported at 9:12 a.m. on the 10400 block of North Valley Drive.
• Rape was reported at 10:34 a.m. on the 4800 block of South Main Street. An Albuquerque woman reported a 17-year-old male had impregnated her 15-year-old daughter, who lives in Las Cruces with her grandmother. Further investigation revealed it was a consensual sexual encounter between minors.
• A female went to the sheriff's office at 12:05 p.m. to report a registered sex offender was giving his e-mail address to neighborhood children. The case was forwarded to the Sex Offender Unit.
• A woman at 3 p.m. reported a physical fight had occurred Tuesday with her husband on the 1000 block of County Road E-8 in Rincon.
• Two juveniles at Gadsden High School were allegedly caught with marijuana and paraphernalia on school grounds at 3:42 p.m. The boys were issued juvenile citations, referred to the Juvenile Probation Office and suspended from school.
• A check on welfare was conducted at 4:13 p.m. on the 1500 block of Dream Walker Way.
• Assault was reported at 4:18 p.m. on the 300 block of Hauser in Rincon. The victim reported another female came to her residence and verbally threatened her.
• Deputies at 5:17 p.m. were called to the 500 block of Luna Azul for what turned out to be a civil matter. Three subjects were arguing over a debt of money. Two, a male and female, were issued trespass cards.
• A supplemental report was filed at 5:34 p.m. on the 1400 block of Desert Plum, where several items were recovered from an earlier auto burglary.
• A 15-year-old female was reported as a runaway at 5:46 p.m. on the 12200 block of Sharon Q. She later returned home.
• Deputies at 5:50 p.m. were called to the 200 block of Tornillo Flats for what turned out to be a civil matter. A male lent a PlayStation 3 to another male, the console had broken and the two were arguing over who should pay for it.
• Rape was reported at 6:22 p.m. at La Pi-on via telephone. A female reported she had been raped two years ago and the suspect was now in prison. The case has been forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Division.
• Domestic violence was reported at 6:33 p.m. at La Pi-on via telephone. A female reported being the victim of domestic violence several times in the past, but it remains unclear who the suspect or suspects are or where it occurred.
• A domestic disturbance between father and son was reported at 6:45 p.m. on the 1100 block of Tierra Huitchol. They were arguing about the son getting in trouble at school for having less than an ounce of marijuana.
• Criminal trespass was reported at 6:54 p.m. on the 4400 block of Nopalito. Someone had moved some items outside the residence and taken a electric cord to a radio. A neighbor was found to have been on the property and was advised to not come back.
• Fraud was reported at 7:41 p.m. on the 5200 block of Foster Lane. The complainant reported being called by someone who said his credit card was going to be deactivated if he did not confirm his PIN, which he did.
• An affray between two juveniles was reported at 9:16 p.m. on the 2200 block of North Valley Drive. A juvenile citation was issued for battery.
• A female in El Paso at 8:02 p.m. reported a domestic disturbance she said occurred Monday on Chagar Court. The female said her boyfriend shoved her but had little information about the man.
• A domestic disturbance was reported at 8:54 p.m. on the 800 block of Clark Lane. A father and son were arguing.
• A driver was cited at 9:26 p.m. near Fourth Street and Curry Court in Anthony, N.M., for driving without a license. Her vehicle was impounded.
• Residential burglary was reported at 10 p.m. on the 5900 block of Las Alturas.
• A domestic disturbance was reported at 10:09 p.m. on the 8900 block of Ericson. A male allegedly pointed a .38 caliber revolver at the victim. The Criminal Investigations Division was called to the scene but the victim was uncooperative.
• Manuel Chavez was arrested at 11:21 p.m. after a traffic stop near N.M. 460 and Duffer Road in Anthony, N.M., on an active warrant. Chavez was booked into the Do-a Ana County Detention Center and his vehicle was impounded.
• A domestic disturbance between a boyfriend and girlfriend was reported at 11:41 p.m. on the 300 block of Bianes. Monica Gonzalez was arrested and charged with battery against a household member.
• A runaway was reported at an unknown time on the 4400 block of Echo Canyon. During the investigation, a neighbor told the responding deputy his residence had been broken into. The stolen items were recovered during the investigation and the missing juvenile male is suspected of committing the crime. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigations Division for further inquiry.
