LAS CRUCES - Motorists are advised to plan their routes around two street closures this month.

Las Cruces Avenue is experiencing intermittent road closures in between Water and Church Street until Monday as crews instal street lighting electrical conduit for the Main Street project. RoadRUNNER Transit Route 10 may be affected and motorists are asked to decrease their speed through the construction zone.

Beginning 7 a.m. Dec. 27, University Avenue from Chaparral Street to Locust Street will also have westbound lane closures lasting about three weeks as Oakland Construction instals new sidewalk near the intersection of University Avenue and Jordan Road. RoadRUNNER Transit Route 30 may be affected and motorists are advised to seek an alternate route.

Business access will be maintained around both closures.
