ANTHONY, N.M. - Gadsden Independent School District Superintendent Cynthia Nava has organized a blood drive in honor of Desert Pride Academy Principal George Foster, to be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday at the school, 5235 N.M. 28.
Foster and his wife Judith, the principal of University Hills Elementary School in Las Cruces, were injured by a drunk driver in a head-on collision Saturday evening. George Foster remains in intensive care at University Medical Center of El Paso, while Judith was released Wednesday.
Slots for donors on Monday have already filled up due to high demand, and the blood drive has tentatively been extended until Wednesday, according to the family.
