LAS CRUCES - The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will conduct a public meeting to provide information, answer questions and receive input regarding plans to replace the bridges and on-and-off ramp realignments on the Interstate 10 interchanges at Motel Boulevard and Avenida de Mesilla.

An open house will be at 6 p.m., followed by a presentation at 6:30 p.m., in the multi-purpose room of the Do-a Ana County Government Building, 845 Motel Blvd.

Interested residents will have the opportunity to provide input into the artwork and landscaping themes for the interchanges, that are considered gateways to Las Cruces and Mesilla from I-10. NMDOT officials will also brief area businesses and residents of traffic flow plans during the bridge and interchange construction period.

For more information, call A.J. Romero, NMDOT project development engineer, at (575) 525-7341, or Bridget Spedalieri, NMDOT spokeswoman, at (575) 525-7340. Romero can also be contacted by e-mail at arthur.romero@state.nm.us.

Disabled or physically handicapped residents who want to attend the meeting should call Jeff Mann at (575) 522-7400, at least 48 hours before the meeting, to make arrangements.
