LAS CRUCES - Ham dinner with all the trimmings will be served from noon to 2 p.m. Christmas Day at the El Caldito Soup Kitchen dining room, 999 W. Amador.

At present they have enough volunteers to prepare and serve the meal. But, if you or a small group would like to volunteer to play mellow, traditional Christmas music, contact Becky McNair at (575) 526-9369.

Other donations - coffee, cream, whipped cream, red beverage napkins and 6-inch festive plates, spiral cut ham, bananas, oranges or tangerines, apples or anything else you can think of - can be dropped off at El Caldito Soup Kitchen from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday.

El Caldito will also prepare a meal of chili, cornbread and bread pudding at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 21 for its sponsoring agency, Mesilla Valley Community of Hope.
