LAS CRUCES - The Do a Ana Sheriff's Office is again urging the public to help find a disabled Hatch man who has been missing for a month.
Henry Nu ez Apodaca, 56, has not been in contact with friends or family since first going missing sometime in early November, and posters with his photo and information covering the Hatch area have led to few leads.
Apodaca did not take his truck with him but could be in Las Cruces, sheriff's investigator Bo Nevarez said Saturday.
"The sheriff's department is concerned, because though investigators don't suspect foul play at this time, there is sufficient evidence to indicate something is afoul," Nevarez said.
Nevarez would not elaborate on what investigators had learned except to say it concerned "something out of his character, out of his routine."
Apodaca is described as 5-feet 4-inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, with salt and pepper hair and a mustache. He has three black tattoos - a woman sitting at a vanity table, three "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" monkeys, and a woman's name and he may be wearing a boot-type cast on one leg.
He is not believed to be armed or in danger of hurting himself intentionally, authorities said.
"The family is very concerned and very worried," Nevarez said. "We don't believe there's a concern of danger to the public, but only to himself."
Two other Do a Ana County men were reported missing in November: an 80-year-old Las Cruces man, who was found one day after being reported
Anyone with any information on Apodaca's disappearance or his whereabouts is asked to call Cold Case investigators Lee Medina or Ben Venable at (575) 647-6991.
