LAS CRUCES -- A garage fire was extinguished Wednesday night by the Las Cruces Fire Department.

A witness reported smoke coming from a building in the 700 block of Pittsburg at about 11:45 p.m. Responding firefighters were able to quickly extinguish several small fires located inside the abandoned garage. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation and a total damage amount has yet to be determined, LCFD said Friday.
