LAS CRUCES - A man robbed Western Heritage Bank in Las Cruces shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday, according to the FBI

No injuries were reported. Las Cruces police and the FBI are investigating.

A white male, wearing a black leather-type jacket over a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, handed a demand note to a teller at the bank at 230 S. Alameda Blvd., near Amador Avenue.

The FBI did not indicate if a weapon was involved.

The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money. He was seen walking west through the parking lot.

He was described as 5-feet 5-inches to 5-feet 6-inches tall, about 140 to 150 pounds. Witnesses say he was about 35 to 45 years old, clean-shaven and had acne scars. The hood covered his head.

The suspect was wearing glasses, blue jeans and light-colored slip-on shoes.

A reward of up to $1,000 may be available for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the subject.
