SANTA FE - New Mexico's Department of Information Technology has unveiled a new website listing broadband availability in every region of the state, types of technologies, companies that offer these services, and links to those companies for additional information.

The mapping initiative is part of a five-year, $4.77-million stimulus grant received from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) to provide for mapping, planning, capacity building, and technical assistance components that will define areas of broadband availability and provide guidance in improving adoption of broadband in New Mexico communities that are not served or are underserved.
