LAS CRUCES -- The FBI is seeking information from consumers who believe that they have been improperly charged on their telephone bill for services they didn't order or authorize from a Minnesota company.
The investigation is ongoing and the FBI is not providing any additional information about the inquiry into the allegedly improper billings.
The company in question is Alternate Billing Corp., 24078 Greenway Road, Forest Lake, Minn., but affiliated companies and services also under investigation include 800VMailbox, BusinessSEOPro, Digital VMail, Durham Technology, eProtectID, eSafeId, Identity Holdings, InfoCall, Instant 411, InstantSEOPro, Matchgamepro, Mobile 411 Plus, My411Connect, MyIDSafe, MyIProducts, NeedTheInfo, ProIdentityProtect, Safeguard My Credit, Streaming Flix, Streaming Flix - FamilyWebSafety, Streaming Flix - Iconz of Rock VIP, Streaming Flix - Mobile, Streaming Flix - National Lampoon, Streaming Flix - No Good TV Digital, Streaming Flix - UBD, Studio 127, Uvolve and VolCoff.
Anyone who believes they might be a victim is asked to go to http://forms.fbi.gov/alternate-billing-corp and provide their basic contact information, a list of which companies or services billed them, an estimate of their monetary loss and whether they have documentation proving the loss.
