LAS CRUCES - Firefighters responded to a fire at a double-wide mobile home in Chaparral on Monday afternoon.

No injuries resulted from the blaze, said Do a Ana County Fire Marshal Robert Monsivaiz.

The fire was reported between about noon and 12:30 p.m.

Monsivaiz said there was a report that someone had been burning weeds at the location earlier in the day, but the it's not certain that was the cause.

"The fire is still under investigation," he said.

The fire took place on the Do a Ana County side of Chaparral. Volunteer fire departments from Chaparral, Anthony and Chamberino responded, as well as a department from the Otero County side of the community.
