The following indictments were returned Dec. 9 by a Do a Ana County grand jury:
•Matthew A. Alarcon, 24, 1035 N. 3rd St. Apt. A or B, Las Cruces, is charged with threatening a witness with bodily injury between Nov. 1-18.
•Ruben A. Almanzar, 38, 5815 Robledo, and Vanessa Ann La-Bounty, 25, Nancy Giovanini, 48, and Christopher Lee Wilson, 44, of 143 N. San Pedro, Las Cruces, are charged with negligent child abuse between Sept. 1-9. All four of the family's children allegedly tested positive for methamphetamine, according to court documents.
•Saidi I. Baraka, 20, 1615 E. University Ave. Apt. 107, is charged with receiving stolen property on Nov. 3.
•Faustino Diaz Briseno, 43, 1712 Valencia Drive, Las Cruces, is charged with aggravated battery against a household member, causing great bodily harm, and false imprisonment on Nov. 28.
•Ramon Cardenas, 18, 318 Las Parcelas Loop, Mesquite, is charged with serving alcohol to a minor on Oct. 29.
•Victor Manuel Carreon, 20, 111 Meyers St., Anthony, N.M., is charged with aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer, driving a vehicle at night without lighted lamps, driving with a suspended license and failure to stop or yield at an intersection on Oct. 14.
•Daniel Duarte, 23, 525 First St., Las Cruces, is charged with kidnapping, negligent child abuse, battery against a household member and interference with communications on Oct. 31.

•Alfredo Galvan Jr., 29, 11440 Arrow Rock, El Paso, is charged with aggravated drunken driving, no driver's license, speeding and failure to maintain traffic lane on Sept. 25.
•Gloria Herrera, 52, 999 S. Telshor Blvd., Apt. 108, Las Cruces, is charged with selling alcohol to a minor on Oct. 29.
•Luis Jose Nu ez, 18, 3062 Los Arenales St., Mesilla, is charged with burglary of a vehicle, tampering with evidence and larceny on Oct. 21.
•James Ray Padilla, 25, 1535 Corbett #3, Las Cruces, is charged with false imprisonment, battery and assault against a household member on Oct. 31.
•Pablo Guillen-Pinales, 21, 4210 Calle de Centro, Fairacres, is charged with four counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon (a knife) and tampering with evidence on Oct. 31.
•Amy Vasquez, 21, 728 Hermosa, Chaparral, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and giving alcohol to a minor on Nov. 13.
•Shawntae R. Wiley, 22, 320 E. Amador Ave., Las Cruces, is charged with battery on a peace officer on Aug. 25.
An indictment is only an accusation. All criminal defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
