The Doña Ana Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls Tuesday:
• A burglary was reported at 11:20 a.m. near Gopher and Coyote. A neighbor called 911 after spotting two males loading items into an unfamiliar vehicle backed up to the door of a house. The suspect vehicle was spotted by a Las Cruces Police Department officer in the area of Payan, and officers reportedly found it hidden behind a house on that street. One of the alleged suspects, David Leon, ran out of the house and tried to flee but was caught quickly and turned over to sheriff's deputies. Inside the vehicle, property taken from the house on Gopher was recovered. Leon, 20, of the 6800 block of MacArthur, was arrested and charged with burglary, conspiracy and receiving stolen property. The other suspect was also located and was being questioned Wednesday in relation to the crime.
• A supplemental report was filed on a residential burglary at 4 p.m. in the 300 block of Perea. The victim's mother spoke to the mother of a possible suspect who said the suspect's girlfriend may have also been involved in the incident.
• Identity theft was reported at 4:07 p.m. on the 1400 block of Old Field Circle. The complainant reported someone was using his personal information in New Jersey.
• Matthew Arrieta, 35, was arrested at 4:10 p.m. on the 900 block of Anthony Drive for revocation of probation.
• A motorcycle was towed at 4:30 p.m. after a traffic stop on El Paseo and
• Suspicious circumstances were reported at 5:22 p.m. on the 300 block of Second St. in Sunland Park. The complainant received a citation in February and sent a money order to Santa Fe to pay the fine two weeks after receiving the citation. The money order was cashed in March but the Department of Motor Vehicles is saying the fine has not been paid.
• A vehicle was impounded at 5:23 p.m. near Mesilla View and McCombs after a traffic stop in which it was revealed the driver had no license.
• A vehicle was impounded at 5:28 p.m. after a traffic stop on Weisner and Bataan Memorial West for expired registration revealed the driver had a suspended license.
• A vehicle was towed at 5:30 p.m. after a traffic stop on Do-a Ana School Road in which it was found the driver did not have a valid license.
• Esteban Lopez was arrested at 6:12 p.m. after a traffic stop on Peachtree Hills for a cracked windshield. Lopez allegedly tried to flee and stopped in a driveway near Moonview and Norte Vista and was charged with driving an unsafe vehicle, expired plates, no insurance, driving with a revoked license, aggravated drunken driving (fourth offense) and two counts of resisting arrest. Passenger Rodolfo Cruz was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging contempt of court and passenger Francisco Maldonado Jr. was cited for possession of an open container of alcohol and released from the scene. The vehicle was seized.
• Criminal property damage was reported at 7:11 p.m. in the 700 block of Livesay after graffiti was found on the south side of property facing State Line Road.
• Suspicious circumstances were reported at 8:09 p.m. in the 100 block of Crossett Lane after a 16-year-old female told her parent that a neighbor had shown her a pornographic photo a month ago.
• Harassment was reported at 8:46 p.m. in the 300 block of McCombs. A female was allegedly harassing another female over money owed. The deputy was unable to immediately contact the suspect.
• Vincente Sanchez was arrested on a probation violation after a domestic disturbance was reported at 8:50 p.m. in the 700 block of Windsong.
• A caller reported being concerned about a child's welfare at 9:15 p.m. in the 800 block of Hill Street. The child was checked on and was fine.
• A vehicle was towed at 10 p.m. after a traffic violation at an unknown location when it was discovered the driver had no license.
• A verbal domestic disturbance was reported at 11:45 p.m. in the 600 block of County Line in Chaparral. Deputies discovered the parties involved had moved to the 600 block of Regala Way.
