LAS CRUCES - The city of Las Cruces will sponsor a public auction at 9 a.m. April 9 at the Armando "Mondy" Castaneda Service Center, 1501 E. Hadley. The auction is used to dispose of various obsolete, unusable, or surplus equipment, furnishings, vehicles and supplies, according to a news release.

Registration begins at 7 a.m. the day of the auction, and items may be viewed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 8 at the Castaneda Service Center. The city is legal owner of all items to be auctioned, and items are free of any liens. All sales will be final, sold as is and without recourse.

Buyers are responsible for removing their purchased items no later than 4 p.m. April 22. If items are not picked up by this date, all rights to the items purchased, related purchase prices, and ownership will revert back to the city.
