Font ResizeLAS CRUCES - The Boys & Girls Club of Las Cruces will host a community screening of the film "Waiting for Superman," 7 p.m. March 23 at the Boys and Girls Club Clubhouse, 330 W. Las Cruces Ave.
The film explores the current state of education in the U.S. and follows five children whose dreams, hopes and untapped potential reveal all that is at stake.
The purpose of the screening is to explore how communities, including Boys & Girls Clubs, can improve the educational outlook for every child by bringing parents and teens together with top local education, business and government leaders, to identify solutions to the escalating high school dropout crisis.
Admission is free.
The club's Teen Club will also be hosting a concession stand fundraiser to raise money for their field trip fund.
