LAS CRUCES - Author Manning Marable will speak about his new book, "Rediscovering Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention," from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at New Mexico State University's Corbett Center Ballrooms. The event is part of NMSU's Black History Month celebration.

Malcolm X had a significant impact on American history and the civil rights movement. Marable's biography tells of the leader's accomplishments and new facts about his life and assassination.
